What is the difference between degradable plastics and non degradable plastics?
降解塑料是指一类其制品的各项性能可满足使用要求,在保存期内性能不变,而使用后在自然环境条件下能降解成对环境无害的物质的塑料。因此,也被称为可环境降解塑料。现在有多种新型塑料:生物降解型塑料、光降解型塑料、光、氧化\生物降解性塑料、二氧化碳基生物降解塑料、热塑性淀粉树脂降解塑料。可降解塑料袋(也就是环保塑料袋)使用材质为PLA,PHAs,PBA,PBS等高分子材料。而不可降解的传统塑料袋则是PE塑料材质。
Degradable plastics refer to a kind of plastics whose properties can meet the use requirements and remain unchanged during the storage period, but can degrade into environmentally harmless substances under natural environmental conditions after use. Therefore, it is also known as environmentally degradable plastics. Now there are many kinds of new plastics: biodegradable plastics, photodegradable plastics, light, oxidation \ biodegradable plastics, carbon dioxide based biodegradable plastics and thermoplastic starch resin degradable plastics. Degradable plastic bags (i.e. environmentally friendly plastic bags) are made of high molecular materials such as PLA, PHAs, PBA and PBS. The non degradable traditional plastic bag is made of PE plastic.
相对于几百年才能消失的‘白色垃圾’塑料,在堆肥条件下,全生物降解制品能在30天内被微生物分解90%以上,以二氧化碳和水的形态进入自然界;在非堆肥条件下,垃圾处理厂未处理干净的部分全生物降解制品将在2年内逐步降解干净。
Compared with the 'white waste' plastic that can only disappear for hundreds of years, under the composting condition, the fully biodegradable products can be decomposed by microorganisms for more than 90% within 30 days, and enter the nature in the form of carbon dioxide and water; Under non composting conditions, the untreated part of the fully biodegradable products in the waste treatment plant will be gradually degraded within 2 years.
可降解塑料袋一般可在一年内分解,而奥运环保塑料袋甚至可在弃后72天开始分解。而不可降解的塑料袋则需要200年的时间才能将其降解。
Degradable plastic bags can generally decompose within a year, while Olympic environmental protection plastic bags can even decompose 72 days after abandonment. Non degradable plastic bags take 200 years to degrade.
